Food Business Assistance

Product and market development assistance is offered to value-added food businesses throughout the region. This is a free service of MSRC the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center and the USDA. In addition, these services not only establish a network with culinary centers and commercial kitchens in the region, they provide business networking with other local companies in order to disseminate resource information.
The objectives of Shore Gourmet Food Business Center are three-fold:
(1) develop a high-end marketing vehicle for value-added agricultural and
gourmet food products produced in the Maryland’s Eastern Shore region;
(2) develop a food business network that will provide comprehensive business
and marketing support to specialty agricultural and food producers; and
(3) serve as a community activist program, promoting the “Buy Local” campaign
and local food awareness.
